I am an Australian citizen. Can I travel to Russia without visa?

According to Russian Law all Australian citizens must have visas to enter Russia.

Is there any regulations on what formal steps foreign citizen has to make during his stay in Russia?

If a foreign citizen has decided to come to the Russian Federation, it is necessary for him/her to know some principal rules of sojourn of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation. You can find detailed information by clicking here.

What is the Tourist Voucher?

Tourist Voucher is the document, where the tourist services, which are to be provided to you (i.e. airport transfer, hotel accommodation, museum excursions etc.), are listed.

How much money in foreign currency can I bring to Russia?

You can legally bring to Russia any amount of cash money, however you are required to declare a sum that exceeds US$10.000 (or equivalent).

How do I invite my friends or relatives from Russia to Australia?

We cannot help you with that. You have to contact the Australian Authorities.

Why do I have to submit original passport, and not only a copy?

Russian visa is a sticker on one of the pages in your original passport.

Where can I find the information about Russian citizenship in English?

According to Russian Law all foreign citizens or stateless persons applying for Russian citizenship have to speak Russian. Therefore all the information about citizenship is available only in Russian.

Is there any parking available at the Consulate?

There is no parking available at the Consulate. However there is plenty of parking spaces in the area.
