The one you currently hold. Medical insurance is not necessary when applying for a Russian visa. If you do not have one leave a blank space.

Please state your current work address and telephone number in Australia.
5. Which address shall I write in line ¹ 17 of the application form?
Please state your permanent home address and telephone number in Australia.
6. What shall I write in line ¹ 14 of the application form if I am going to Russia on a guest visa?
Please leave the provided space blank.
7. What kind of an HIV Test Certificate is required?
A standard HIV Test Certificate from any clinic, not from a GP.
8. Will a general health certificate issued by my GP be accepted?
Yes.
9. Time is running out/ We are running late/ Can we send in a Guest invitation by fax?
No, only originals are accepted. Please be advised to submit your documents in a single set when applying for a visa. All invitations received separately will be ignored.
10. Do you issue visas for visiting former USSR republics?
No, we do not. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation is in no way connected with diplimatic or consular representatives of these states.
11. Is a visa required when visiting Saint-Petersberg as one of the cruise destinations?
Passengers travelling onboard cruise liners, spending in Saint-Petersberg less than 72 hours and going ashore as a part of organized tourist group do not require a visa. However tourists travelling ashore independently have to apply for a tourist visa and face standard requirements.
